Debra has more than 35 years of experience in securities analysis and portfolio management. Debra joined First Western through the merger of Sterling Partners in March 2005. She was a founding partner of Sterling Partners and was responsible for the investment management efforts of the firm, participating in both securities research and the management of client portfolios. Prior to founding Sterling Partners, Debra was the director of research and securities analyst at both Hanifen, Imhoff Inc. and Boettcher & Company. Previously, she was a vice president of research in the Risk Arbitrage department of Salomon Brothers in New York.

What do you like most about your job?
The combination of using both my analytical and interpersonal skills on a daily basis. Working with the financial markets means the environment is always changing. Work can never be boring. Also I value my ability to impact both the firm and our clients.

What is your most treasured possession?
My goldendoodle Tucker.
