David performs due diligence on outside managers, analyzing new investment opportunities, generating empirical data to support investment management philosophy and processes, and providing portfolio managers with the necessary data and information to help them service their clients. David also develops investment management marketing materials for internal and external clients and supports the Investment Policy Committee by providing data on specialized topics. David previously spent four years working as an equity analyst for First Western Investment Management’s Large Cap Core products where he had primary responsibility for the energy and industrial sectors as well as telecom. Prior to joining First Western, David worked as a conservation biologist at the Denver Zoological Foundation’s Department of Conservation Biology, where he helped oversee grants and funding, conducted research, and assisted with fund raising. David’s other professional experiences include working for the United States Department of Agriculture, and the Washington D.C. based, class-action law firm of Cohen, Milstein, Hausfeld, and Toll. David also worked as a White House intern after completing his undergraduate education.
