As a senior loan originator for First Western Trust’s mortgage services, Bret is responsible for building and maintaining relationships with Northern Colorado clients by creating tailored solutions to help them achieve their lending goals. Bret brings more than 9 years of lending experience to First Western. He was previously senior loan originator at EverBank, where he grew relationships with his clients and helped them find the right mortgages for their needs. Before his experience at EverBank, Bret was senior loan originator at Affiliated Financial Group.

What do you like most about your job?
The most gratifying aspect of my job is helping first-time home buyers. I love being at the closing table and seeing the smiles when buyers get their first set of keys.
What do you believe is your best quality?
Being able to “think outside the box” for clients with complex income and asset situations, and find creative solutions to their financing needs.
What is your idea of perfect happiness?
A day out in the countryside riding my bike, and a cold beverage waiting for me at the end.
