DENVER – APRIL 22, 2013– First Western Trust is pleased to announce the addition of Jonathan Braun as senior vice president and in-house counsel. Braun’s expertise in legal services for financial institutions will contribute to First Western’s continued growth and success and strengthen their ability to provide exceptional client service.
In addition to providing in-house legal support for First Western activities, Braun is responsible for the retention and oversight of outside counsel.

Prior to joining First Western, Braun was a founding partner of O’Brien Braun, P.C., representing financial institutions in litigation and commercial loan/lease workouts. He also served as vice president and in-house counsel to Key Corp for seven years, managing U.S. Litigation for Key Equipment Finance. Before joining Key Corp, Braun served as a vice president and in-house litigation/workout attorney for NBD Bank in Detroit, now Chase Bank.
Braun earned his law degree from Wayne State University in Detroit. He received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. Braun holds licenses to practice law in Colorado and Michigan.
