Building Strong Futures for Women

At First Western Trust, we support women in building the path to their next big adventure, their ideal retirement, their philanthropic legacy, and anything else they might wish to accomplish.

From our client service to our community focus, we make women a priority at our organization – and that’s not something you see in most financial services firms.

Our Leadership

At First Western we believe in rewarding hard work and talent and are fortunate to have some very talented women on our side. 75% of our executive team is female, including our Chief Investment Officer, Chief Credit Officer, and Chief Financial Officer, among others.

More than 50% of the Directors in our Specialist teams are women, from Mortgage Loan Services to Wealth Planning, Philanthropic Services to Retirement Consulting.

In all areas of our company, we have knowledgeable women leaders who understand that women often think about wealth differently and are available to help support your goals.

Women & Wealth Series

This program is focused on bringing women together to discuss topics beyond finances. Our goal is to provide a forum where women can connect and explore much more than their financial wealth. We seek to help enrich women in experiences, relationships and spirit by hosting engaging speakers to teach us all about new, interesting topics, such as:

  • Turning Your Next Trip into a True Travel Experience
  • Over-Doctored and Under-Well
  • Getting an ROI Out of Your Wardrobe
  • Incorporating Sustainable Design into Your Home
  • How Animals Support Our Emotional and Physical Health
  • Creating the Next Google: Helping Your Children Start their Own Business

Community Involvement

Giving back to the community has been an integral part of our company in our 11 year history. So far, we’ve donated more than $19 million to make a difference in our local communities, and we continue to get involved in important projects and organizations every year.

As a company, we’ve focused our giving around three core issue areas that matter most to our associates, clients, shareholders, and community partners. One of these three areas is women & girls.

We donate our time, talent, and treasury to organizations who are dedicated to improving the futures of women and girls in our communities. In the past, we have partnered with nonprofits such as Project Self-Sufficiency, the Women’s Foundation of Colorado, and the Women’s Bean Project.

Additionally, we are dedicated to supporting women and girls through FW Connects, our annual volunteer day, as well as through our company’s Community Connections Committee, which organizes quarterly events to support The Gathering Place, a women’s day shelter, among other volunteer projects.

From our philanthropic giving to our programs and associates, we are focused on being a partner to women, and providing them with the advice they need to achieve their short- and long-term goals.
